What is Homeopathy ?
Homeopathy is a method of medical treatment designed to
stimulate the body’s own healing processes in order to cure
illnesses. It is based upon the discovery that a substance in
small doses may alleviate symptoms similar to those it causes at
higher doses. The phrase “likes are cured by likes” is often
used to describe a basic concept behind homeopathy.
Thus, the two cornerstones of homeopathy are that “likes are
cured by likes,” and that the remedies are extremely diluted to
eliminate or minimize their toxic effects.
The science of homeopathy was developed by the German physician
and chemist, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, in the early 1800’s. Through
numerous homeopathic experiments called "provings", he furthered
the known theory that “likes are cured by likes.” Dr. Hahnemann
then determined that the effects of the remedies he tested on
himself were too toxic at the conventional dosage level. He
found that when a remedy is properly diluted, healing is
achieved without the severe side effects.
In general, homeopathic products are designed to work with the
body’s defense mechanisms and facilitate the body’s elimination
of toxic substances.
What
is Homotoxicology ?
Homotoxicology is the treatment & study of the influence of
toxins on the human organism.
In homotoxicology, diseases are considered to be ultimately
caused by toxins, whether toxic chemicals, bacterial exotoxins,
biological endotoxins, or post-traumatic cellular debris.
Furthermore, disease symptoms are said to be the result of the
body’s attempt to heal itself and should not necessarily be
suppressed.
Homotoxicology was formulated by Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, M.D. in
1952. He made use of his familiarity with classical homeopathy,
which he combined with modern medical science. The resulting
synthesis continues to provide a bridge between homeopathy and
conventional medicine.
In the late 1920’s, a conventionally-trained German physician,
Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, M.D. (1905-1985), began researching and
experimenting with homeopathic remedies. He was initially drawn
to homeopathy while in medical school when a homeopath cured his
father of serious kidney disease. He completed his medical
degree, then went to Berlin to study with masters of homeopathy.
Once he began treating patients with homeopathic remedies, Dr.
Reckeweg noticed how quickly the patients required another
remedy. This concerned him since he was closely following the
guidelines of well-experienced homeopaths. In his practice he
observed that many human diseases seemed to be caused by
exposure to toxins, both of external and internal nature. He
termed this principle homotoxicology , i.e., the study of toxins
to humans. The presence of such toxins was undeniable in view of
the increasingly polluted environment and widespread damaging
lifestyle choices.
Dr. Reckeweg expanded homotoxicology into a medical theory with
many innovative aspects. He elaborated a 6-phase Table of
Homotoxicosis, by which physicians can trace a patient’s medical
history and locate the present medical complaint. He described
‘vicariation’ of illnesses (i.e., improvement and deterioration)
and codified a Great Defense System of five parts. A key
principle of homotoxicology is the definition of diseases:
“…expressions of the battle of the organism against toxins, in
its attempt to counteract and expel them.” His treatise on
Homotoxicology was published in 1955.
Dr. Reckeweg obtained better results
with combinations of homeopathic remedies than with single
remedies and took to developing formulas for his own patients.
Consequently other medical colleagues began requesting his
combination formulas. The number of requests escalated so
rapidly that in 1936, Dr. Reckeweg founded a company to produce
his medicines. He called the company Heel (an acronym of four
Latin words: herba est ex luce or ‘Plants come from light.’ 2)
Between 1936 and 1979, he developed over one thousand
homeopathic combinations and Heel grew to become the world’s
leading producer and marketer of homeopathic combination
products, with product distribution throughout the world.

Products
Homotoxicology is the basis for the Heel Inc products. It
occupies the mid-point between classical homeopathy and
conventional western medicine. It makes use of conventional
disease diagnoses and dosage forms and provides complex formulas
composed of homeopathically diluted remedies.
Homotoxins (substances toxic to humans) include all substances
that can cause illness in humans. Their appearance results in
regulation disorders in the body. When confronted with
homotoxins, the body's first line of defense is excretion. Many
Heel preparations promote the basic principle of toxin
elimination. The excretion may focus on increased sneezing or
runny nose, or more frequent urination or heavier perspiration.
By detoxifying the body, health has a much better chance of
taking charge.
The preparations of Heel consist mainly of combinations of low
homeopathic potencies (dilutions). Heel products are generally
indicated to be taken several times a day and are not usually
subject to neutralization when taken with other medications.
We carry following Heel products in oral and injectable form:
Zeel - arthritic pain, stiffness, inflammation
Traumeel - muscular pain, arthritic pain, sports injuries,
inflammation
Engystol - for reducing homotoxin level, regulating enzyme
functions, stimulate defensive & Lymphatic systems in neuralgic
and other disorders including influenza, colds sore, and
feverish conditions.
Histamin - for symptoms of allergies including nasal congestion,
inflammation and itchy rashes.
Detox-Kit - This kit combines three homeopathic formulas to
relieve symptoms of illness caused by unhealthy lifestyle
(unbalanced diet, substance abuse, etc) and/or exposure to
environmental toxins (allergens, pesticide, etc.) The Detox-Kit
works by stimulating the body’s natural processes of elimination
to cleanse itself of these poisons, which can build up over time
and negatively affect the immune system.
Safe and effective for:
Eliminating Toxins
Stimulating cleansing process
Stimulating the nonspecific immune system
Supporting the organs of excretion
